OMG look what I found AGAIN! Definitely from Season 2 going by the scarf! I’ve upped the bigger size here!

Okay, what’s throwing me? I think it’s John walking ahead of Sherlock (as opposed to being positioned there in “non-action” shots, for height-related reasons, while Sherlock still looms largest in the image), looking more certain of where he’s going - or, at least, more determined to go there, regardless - than Sherlock does.
If I were new to the program, I might actually be confused, as everything I know (or hold true) about Holmes says he should be the taller, more hawkish one in the long coat, while everything that’s been ingrained in me over the years about media promotions says the title character should be in the shorter man’s position. I’m not sure it’s even offset by Sherlock being in the left position, as my eye always falls dead centre and, since there’s not much going on there, it then naturally moves to the right and finds John, with his pale shirt (and fist) standing out amongst the dark clothing, his face more illuminated and, yeah, the front position.
In any case, it seems purposefully designed to place the two leads on more equal footing than a lot of what we saw from S1.
Also, I knew there had to be something “big” going on as soon as I opened up the page and everything was going soooo slowly. The words, “Okay, which fandom broke Tumblr?” were just settling on my brain when I scrolled past this. Well done, folks.
